I am Jongwoo Kim
Hello, I’m Jongwoo Kim, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at KAIST,
advised by Prof. Mun Yong Yi and Prof. Noseong Park.
I’m currently engaged in research activities alongside my great colleagues at the Knowledge Innovation Research Center (KIRC).
My research focuses on building practical AI systems for real-world applications, particularly in medical pathology and education.
1) Multimodal Large Language Models (vision/language/graph): unified reasoning across visual, textual, and graph-structured inputs. 2) JEPA and World Models: predictive representation learning and latent dynamics for improved abstraction and generalization. 3) Graph Prior Fitted Networks (Graph PFN): scalable predictive function learning on relational and graph-structured domains.
I actively seek practical challenges from the real world, regardless of domain.
